Here is my final edit of ‘The Love Triangle’. A lot has been changed since my first and second edit such as the text and the quality of the video, etc. A lot of hard work has been put into creating our film by all 3 members of the group. Although Kika did the basic editing on imovie, I contributed a lot of the ideas, such as the music, the font (colour and style), etc. I hope you enjoy my final edit.
Here are some of the comments that I received from my friends over face book. They all really enjoyed my film and their comments have been very useful. The audience said that they really enjoyed the different variety of shots and angles that we used in the video as they said it really captured what what happening and portrayed it from different points of view.
For this task I have filmed a directors commentary to describe what I have learnt during the progression of my filming process. I have learnt a lot about the importance of things such as sound, volume, effects, angles and shots. For example in my first prelim task the wind and when the chair is flipped by Archie these are very overpowering sounds and are not balanced with the rest of the volume in the video. Therefore, when shooting and editing the final video we made sure that all the sound is balanced. In the video I also talk about the effects that we used in the first prelim task. We switched for the black and white effect to no effect at all, this did not look effective or professional and so when it came to our final edit we made sure to just keep one effect.
Here I have created a directors commentary video to represent how my media product represents particular social groups. The social groups that I have targeted are modern day teenagers who enjoy rom-com’s and teen drama as this is the focus of my film. The different characters in my film will also attract different social groups and teens will find their personalities relatable. For example I talk about how the character Ashley is quite girly, cute and popular whereas, Sara, on the other hand, is down to earth and laid back.
For this task I have created tags which can be seen at the top left corner of the images which describe and explain what aspects of my film attract and address my perfect audience member along with anyone else who enjoys romantic comedies. I have screen shotted key parts of my film and annotated them to evaluate how it addresses/ attracts my audience. I have included my indents within this as indents are very important aspects of any film. Indents show the audience what production company created the movie and so having a very successful production company such as 20th Century Fox will attract the audience as they have created many popular world known movies (rom-com’s).
Here is a Powtoon that I created. I really enjoyed using powtoon. It is a very effective way to demonstrate my work. Although it is quite difficult to get the hang of, it has certainly improved my technology skills and developed my knowledge of the different variations of technology within media. I hope you enjoy my Powtoon. My powtoon includes the different technology that I used throughout the process of constructing my film, such as wordpress, you tube, uk tribes, pearl and dean, art of the title, GIPHY, prezi, etc.
Due to not being able to export the video from the Powtoon website, I had to record it and then edit it on imovie, apologies for any shakiness or lack of clarity.

Here is a short video that I made to show my perfect audience member. It shows what she likes to do when she’s chilling out in her room, her favourite comfy everyday clothes, videos she likes to watch, music she enjoys listening to, what makeup she likes and chatting with friends.
